Description

The ThermoSphere Heating Foil Kit is a complete, award-winning dry-lay electric underfloor heating system for wood, carpet and vinyl floor finishes, supplied with the cushioning underlay and overlay boards needed for a full installation in one kit.

Applications

Designed for dry installation beneath engineered wood, carpet, laminate and vinyl floor finishes in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms where a wet tile bed isn't being used.

Performance & Features

The foil conducts heat evenly across the floor while the cushioning underlay and overlay improve underfoot comfort, protect the foil and cables from wear, and add acoustic insulation between floors.

Compatibility

Requires a compatible ThermoSphere thermostat, such as the T-MO, for control. HDF Overlay Boards are recommended in addition for floor finishes other than engineered timber 10mm or thicker.

What floor finishes is this suitable for?
Engineered wood, carpet, laminate and vinyl. For finishes other than engineered timber 10mm+, also fit HDF Overlay Boards (WCVF-HDFO).

What's included in the kit?
The heating foil mat plus matched cushioning underlay and overlay boards for the stated coverage area.

Do I need a thermostat separately?
Yes, a compatible thermostat such as the ThermoSphere T-MO is required and sold separately.

Can this go under tiles?
Foil systems are designed for dry-lay finishes; for tiled floors, use the ThermoSphere Mesh or Ultimate cable/membrane systems instead.

Is it safe in bathrooms?
Yes, the foil is IP68 rated, though always follow zone requirements for electrical installations in bathrooms.
