Description

ThermoSphere Heating Foil is an award-winning 140W/m² electric underfloor heating foil system designed for dry installation beneath wood, carpet and vinyl floor finishes.

Applications

Designed for dry installation beneath engineered wood, carpet, laminate and vinyl floor finishes in bedrooms, living rooms and kitchens.

Performance & Features

The foil conducts heat evenly across the floor area via exposed cable loops, giving a slim, efficient heating layer beneath the finished floor. Cushioning underlay and overlay boards (sold separately) are mandatory for best comfort, protection and acoustic performance.

Compatibility

Requires ThermoSphere Cushioning Underlay and Overlay boards for a complete installation, plus HDF Overlay Boards for floor finishes other than engineered timber 10mm+, and a compatible thermostat such as the T-MO.

Do I need to buy anything else with this foil?
Yes, ThermoSphere Cushioning Underlay and Overlay boards are mandatory for a complete installation — see our Heating Foil Kit for a bundled option.

What floor finishes is this suitable for?
Engineered wood, carpet, laminate and vinyl. For finishes other than engineered timber 10mm+, also fit HDF Overlay Boards.

Do I need a thermostat?
Yes, a compatible thermostat such as the ThermoSphere T-MO is required and sold separately.

Can this go under tiles?
Foil systems are designed for dry-lay finishes; for tiled floors use the ThermoSphere Mesh or Ultimate cable/membrane systems instead.
