Description

ThermoSphere Self-Adhesive Decoupling Membrane is a peel-and-stick polyethylene membrane that lays directly onto a clean plywood sub-floor without the need for tile adhesive underneath, making it the fastest way to prepare a timber floor for tiling or for the ThermoSphere Ultimate heating cable.

Applications

What sub-floor does this need?
A clean, sound, dry plywood sub-floor. Check the datasheet for minimum plywood specification before fixing.

Can I still fit heating cable into this membrane?
Yes, it accepts ThermoSphere Ultimate cable at either 130W/m² or 195W/m² depending on dimple spacing used.

Which size do I need?
The 1m² panel suits small repairs or single-panel areas; the 15m² roll suits full bathroom or wetroom floors.

Do I still need tile adhesive on top?
Yes, tiles are fixed to the membrane with a flexible tile adhesive in the normal way.
