The cable is designed for concrete screeds between 40mm and 100mm thick, fixed to foil-faced insulation for best efficiency.

Can it be used as the main heat source for a house?
Yes, on an off-peak tariff the thermal mass of the screed stores and releases heat, making it suitable as a primary heating source in well-insulated properties.

How do I fix the cable in the screed?
Use the ThermoSphere Screed Cable Fixing Profile with the Staple Gun and Staples to hold the cable at the correct spacing before screeding.

What controls the cable?
A compatible electric underfloor heating thermostat with a floor probe, sold separately.

Is a perimeter expansion gap needed?
Yes, perimeter insulation foam should be used around the screed edge as a thermal break and expansion gap.
