Description
SikaSeal Sanitary Silicone+ is a premium quality, mid modulus acetoxy cure silicone sealant for baths, showers, basins and other areas of high humidity. It cures quickly to a permanently flexible, high strength waterproof seal, and contains a powerful fungicide to help prevent mould growth on the sealant. Available in white and translucent in a 295ml cartridge, it's a dependable everyday sealant for bathroom fitters, tilers and builders.

Application Guidance
Surfaces must be clean, dry and dust free, with loose coatings and old sealant removed. Joint widths from 5mm to 25mm, with a maximum depth of 50% of the joint width. Cut the nozzle at 45° slightly larger than the gap, apply with a standard sealant gun and smooth down within 10 minutes using a spatula or wooden tool wetted with soapy water. Masking tape either side of the joint, removed within 5 minutes, gives a neater finish.
Limitations
- Not overpaintable
- Not for highly porous surfaces such as new concrete or stonework without priming
- Not for use on substrates that bleed oils, solvents or plasticisers
- Not for use with bitumen or asphalt, on soft metals such as lead or brass, or for perimeter pointing of uPVC
Compatibility
Suitable for tiled, glazed, ceramic, acrylic and laminate surfaces in internal wet areas. Test porous surfaces first as priming may be required.
