Description
The OX Trade Washboy is a purpose-built tile-cleaning station for the grouting and tile-cleanup phase of any tiling installation. It removes the bottleneck of constantly swapping out dirty water mid-grout, giving the tiler a single mobile rig that holds enough clean water, supports the sponge float and keeps the worksite tidy as the grout job progresses.
The 24-litre container is moulded from impact-resistant plastic that takes the knocks of a real working site without cracking, and the internal fill line takes the guesswork out of getting the water level right for sponge rinsing. Three rollers mount on top of the container on a slider system so the operator can position the rinse station at any point across the lid, then squeeze excess water from the sponge float against the rollers without splashing the surrounding tile.
A removable plastic grid sits on stilts inside the container, giving the sponge float somewhere to rest while it rinses clean and leaving ample clearance underneath for grout slurry to settle out without contaminating the water as quickly. Four lockable swivel wheels under the base mean the whole rig moves with the tiler as they progress across a floor, then locks in place when it needs to stay put.
A staple piece of kit for trade tilers working larger floor and wetroom installations, where the constant grout-clean-and-rinse cycle quickly becomes the rate-limiting step on a single-handed job.
