Mapei MAPEGUARD UM 35 is a premium waterproofing, uncoupling and anti-fracture membrane for ceramic, porcelain and natural stone installations. Supplied as a 30m x 1m roll (30m² coverage), it is designed for demanding tiled floors and walls where substrate movement, cracking or residual moisture could otherwise cause failure.

Designed for demanding substrates
The dimpled polyethylene membrane provides a mechanical key for the tile adhesive while the fabric backing bonds to the prepared substrate. This uncoupling layer helps prevent stresses and movement in the substrate from transferring through to the finished tile and grout layer.
MAPEGUARD UM 35 is particularly suited to installations over cracked or damp screeds, anhydrite (calcium sulphate) screeds and other substrates where movement or residual moisture needs to be managed before tiling.
