Description
Mapei Latex Plus is a water-based latex admixture that's mixed with Keraquick S1 Zero or Planipatch Xtra to dramatically improve their flexibility, deformability and bonding strength. Supplied as a low-viscosity white liquid in a 6kg drum, it's a staple additive for professional tilers tackling large-format porcelain, underfloor heating and other demanding tile adhesive installations where extra deformability is essential.
Mixed with Keraquick S1 Zero in place of water, Latex Plus produces a fast-setting, highly deformable adhesive (class C2FT S2 to EN 12004) with no vertical slip — ideal for interior and exterior tiling of ceramic, porcelain and moisture-stable natural stone, including large-format tiles, on demanding substrates such as underfloor heating, façades, balconies, terraces, precast concrete walls and existing floor tiles. Mixed with Planipatch Xtra, it forms a smooth, highly flexible feathering and patching compound for levelling wood flooring, chipboard, plywood, sheet metal, PVC, rubber, linoleum and existing ceramic tile ahead of new flooring.

Performance and features
With Keraquick S1 Zero, the mixed adhesive has a 30-minute pot life, 10–15 minute open time, is ready for grouting and light foot traffic after 2–3 hours, and fully cured for use after 24 hours (3 days for basins and swimming pools). Tensile adhesion strength reaches 2.5 N/mm² initially, rising to 2.8 N/mm² after heat ageing, with deformability over 5mm (S2, highly deformable) to EN 12004. Application temperature range is +5°C to +30°C. With Planipatch Xtra, the levelling compound sets in around 30 minutes, takes light foot traffic after 2 hours, and is ready for flooring 12–24 hours later.
Compatibility
Latex Plus is designed exclusively for use with Mapei Keraquick S1 Zero and Planipatch Xtra — it should never be used on its own as an adhesive, and water should not be added to a mix that has already begun to set.
