Description
Mapei Keraquick S1 Zero White is a high-performance, quick-setting cementitious tile adhesive with no vertical slip, classified C2FT S1 to EN 12004 (upgraded to C2FT S2 when mixed with Latex Plus). With very low VOC emissions (EMICODE EC1 Plus), it's built for professional tilers who need floors and walls back in service fast — grouting is possible after just 2 hours and full service after 24. The white formulation is recommended over grey for light-coloured or translucent natural stone and glass mosaics, where a grey-bodied adhesive could show through.
Suitable for interior and exterior use, Keraquick S1 Zero White bonds ceramic and porcelain tiles, mosaics and moisture-stable natural stone to cement-based and calcium sulphate screeds, concrete, plywood overlaid floors, existing unglazed ceramic tiles, renders, gypsum plaster, plasterboard and tilebacker boards, up to 10mm adhesive thickness. It's ideal for rapid renovation of heavily trafficked areas — public buildings, motorway services, supermarkets and airports — as well as swimming pools, industrial plants, bathrooms, kitchens and balconies, and for tiling over water-fed or electric undertile heating systems.

Mix 100 parts Keraquick S1 Zero powder with 24–26 parts water by weight (approx. 4.8–5.2 litres per 20kg bag), or replace the water with 6kg of Mapei Latex Plus where extra deformability is needed — for tiles larger than 1200 x 1200mm, glass tiles with a coated rear, plywood/chipboard/tongue-and-groove floors, bonding to existing glazed tiles or vinyl, or when fixing MAPEI Mapetex anti-fracture membrane.

Performance and features
Keraquick S1 Zero has a 30-minute pot life and 15–20 minute open time at +23°C and 50% R.H., with an application temperature range of +5°C to +30°C. Tensile adhesion strength is 2.0 N/mm² initially (EN 1348), with excellent resistance to alkalis, oils and solvents. Do not use on metals, rubber, cork, PVC sheet or linoleum, or for bonding expanded polystyrene panels with a protective film/vapour barrier.
Compatibility
Part of the wider Mapei tiling system, Keraquick S1 Zero can be mixed with Latex Plus for added deformability on demanding substrates, primed with Primer G or Eco Prim T Plus on absorbent surfaces, and grouted with MAPEI cementitious or epoxy resin grouts. Movement joints should be sealed with an elastic sealant such as Mapesil AC or Mapesil LM.

What is Mapei Keraquick S1 Zero used for?

Why choose the white version over grey?
White is recommended for light-coloured or translucent natural stone, glass tiles and mosaics, where the grey adhesive body could show through and discolour the finished surface.
How long before I can grout?
Joints can be grouted after a minimum of 2 hours, and floors take light foot traffic after 2–3 hours. Full service conditions are reached after 24 hours (3 days for swimming pools and water features).
Do I need to mix Keraquick S1 Zero with Latex Plus?
Not for standard tiling — it's mixed with water as standard. Latex Plus is added instead of water for demanding applications: tiles larger than 1200 x 1200mm, glass tiles with a coated back, plywood or chipboard floors, bonding to existing glazed tiles or vinyl, and Mapetex membrane installation.
Can Keraquick S1 Zero be used outdoors?
Yes, it's suitable for exterior tiling including balconies, terraces and swimming pools. In autumn/winter, only fix tiles when substrate and ambient temperatures are above +5°C and protect freshly tiled areas from frost for 24 hours.
