Substrate Preparation
Substrates must be sound, clean, dry, free from rising moisture and from dust, oil, grease and loose material, with a functioning DPM in the subfloor. Prime with Kerakoll Primeplus (cement screeds, concrete and calcium sulphate screeds – diluted, with calcium sulphate screeds diluted 3:1 followed by a neat coat) or Prime+ Grip (ceramic, plywood, metal, epoxy DPM and asphalt – undiluted). Fit perimeter expansion strip around the room and honour all movement joints. For a second layer, allow approx. 3.5 hours then prime with Prime+ Grip.
What's Included
1 x Kerakoll Proflow Smooth 20kg powder bag and 1 x 5L liquid bottle (pre-measured for one mix).
Frequently Asked Questions
What depth can Proflow Smooth be applied at?
From 3mm up to 12mm. Do not use it to correct irregularities greater than 12mm.
How do I mix it?
Pour the pre-measured 5L bottle into a clean container, add the bag while shaking, then mix with a mechanical mixer until smooth and lump-free. Leave to rest for around 2 minutes and briefly mix again. Do not add extra water.
Can it be used below a DPM?
Yes – Proflow Smooth is moisture tolerant and can pre-smooth a floor at 95% RH before a surface epoxy DPM is applied.
How long before I can lay LVT or vinyl?
Approximately 3.5 hours at +23°C and 50% RH, with foot traffic possible after about 90 minutes. Allow 12 hours before resins or paint.
Do I need to prime the subfloor?
Yes. Use Kerakoll Primeplus on cement-based screeds, concrete and calcium sulphate screeds, or Prime+ Grip on non-porous and wooden substrates.
Can I use it outdoors?
No – Proflow Smooth is for internal floors only and is not suitable for areas that are continually submerged.
