The Genesis TDP225 Outdoor Aluminium Square Edge Tile Trim is a 22.5mm aluminium profile with a bold 10mm top face, designed to show off its finish while protecting exposed tile edges on balconies, terraces, patios and other external areas. It can also be used as a feature strip. Supplied in 2.5m lengths in six silver, black and stone-effect finishes.

Choose your finish from the Finish option and select the profile to suit your tile thickness. It is bedded into tile adhesive and works with ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles. Make sure it is fully embedded with no voids, as cement-based materials can corrode aluminium if left in contact for extended periods. The TDP has a 10mm flat top face that stands out as a feature, while a straight edge such as the ESA225 has a slim 3mm face. Both protect the tile edge, so choose by the look you want.
How do I fix it?
Trowel adhesive around the tiled perimeter, press the perforated anchoring leg into the adhesive and align it, then trowel more adhesive over the leg. Embed the tiles flush with the top of the profile, never higher, then fill the joint completely with grout. Mechanical fixing is possible if required.
Can I cut it to length?
Yes, use a fine-tooth hacksaw or metal-cutting blade and file the end smooth.
How do I keep the finish looking good?
Remove adhesive and grout residue promptly and clean with a pH-neutral detergent or diluted colourless alcohol and a soft cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners and abrasive pads.
