The Genesis NLT225 Outdoor Aluminium Tile-In Pro Step Edge Trim is a 22.5mm aluminium step edge for elevated outdoor spaces and steps. Its grooved 28mm tread gives a safe, secure edge to step on, while protecting the riser tile edge and preventing water ingress into the joint gap. Supplied in 2.8m lengths in six silver, black and stone-effect finishes.

What is a tile-in step edge?
It is a profile bedded into the adhesive and tiled into the step, so the tile and trim finish together at the nose of the step.
What tile thickness is the NLT225 for?

Is it slip resistant?
The grooved tread provides a safe, secure edge to step on.
How do I fix it?
Check the fit, install the floorcovering on the riser, then place the nosing on the step. Apply adhesive with a notched trowel, bed the profile in so adhesive comes through the flange holes, and spread adhesive over the flange before laying the tiles. A grout gap is not required, but if visible make sure grout is compressed firmly in the gap.
Can I cut it to length?
Yes, use a fine-tooth hacksaw or metal-cutting blade and file the end smooth.
How do I keep the finish looking good?
Remove adhesive and grout residue promptly and clean with a pH-neutral detergent or diluted colourless alcohol and a soft cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners and abrasive pads.
