The Genesis MLT PVC Slim Movement and Perimeter Joint in Traffic Grey is a light-duty, 5mm-wide movement joint that lets tiled floors expand and contract without cracking or debonding. Supplied in 2.5m lengths and in 10mm and 12.5mm depths to match your tile thickness, it's designed for foot-traffic areas in homes, shops and offices, and its slim profile keeps the joint neat and unobtrusive. The traffic grey finish blends well with grey and stone-effect tiles and grout.

Which depth do I need?
Pick the depth that matches the thickness of your tile, e.g. the 10mm joint for a 10mm tile. Best practice is for the profile to sit about 1mm below the tile surface.
How do I fit it?
Spread adhesive with a notched trowel, bed the perforated flange firmly so the adhesive pushes through the holes, then spread adhesive over the anchoring legs and bed the tiles up to the joint. Leave a grout joint between the tile and the profile.
Where should movement joints go?
Directly above any change in substrate or movement joint in the substrate, and across large tiled areas. Industry guidance suggests no more than 10m in any direction, and in practice 5-8m.
Can I use it outside?
Yes, the profile is suitable for exterior use such as facades and balconies, within its light-duty rating.
Is it suitable for heavy traffic?
No. MLT is a light-duty joint for foot traffic. Check suitability for forklift or vehicle traffic before specifying.
How do I clean it?
Vacuum or brush off dirt, then wipe with a soapless neutral detergent in warm water on a damp cloth and rinse. Avoid polishes and solvent cleaners.
