The Genesis ESS225 Outdoor Stainless Steel Straight Edge Tile Trim is a 22.5mm Grade 304 stainless steel profile designed for external use with 2cm tiles. It gives lasting edge protection on balconies, terraces, patios and landscaping, with weatherproofed, corrosion-resistant durability in a brushed or polished finish.

Compatibility

What is the difference between Brushed and Polished?
Brushed has a satin, directional finish that hides marks well. Polished is bright and reflective and is supplied with a removable protective film, which can stay on before, during and after installation.
How do I fix it?
Trowel tile adhesive around the tiled perimeter, press the perforated anchoring leg into the adhesive and align it, then trowel more adhesive over the leg. Embed the tiles so the tiled surface is flush with the top of the profile, with the profile never higher than the tiles and up to about 1mm lower. Then fill the joint completely with grout. Mechanical fixing is possible if required.
Can it be used around swimming pools?
Genesis advise that stainless steel is not rustproof in the harsh chlorine and bromine environment of a swimming pool, so it needs regular cleaning. Check suitability for your application.
How do I clean it?
Clean regularly with a non-abrasive cleaner and water, remove rust spots promptly, and never use steel wool, sandpaper or bleach. Exposed edges can be sharp, so wear protective gloves when handling.
