Description
Everbuild 201 Mortar Admix is a liquid air-entraining plasticiser designed to replace lime in brick laying and rendering mortars, giving the mix a smooth, butter-like consistency that's easier to handle on the trowel and stays put on the brick.
Tiny stabilised air bubbles introduced by the admix do the job lime traditionally did — improving workability, slowing the set just enough to give bricklayers a proper working window, and reducing shrinkage, cracking and crazing as the mortar cures. The result is a stronger bond, a tidier joint, and a mortar that's a lot more forgiving in cold and wet conditions on UK sites.
Supplied as a 5L jerry can with a clearly stated dosage rate — a small splash per gauge bucket of mix is enough to transform a stiff, harsh cement mortar into something that lays and points cleanly. A trade-shed staple for bricklayers, renderers and general builders.
