Description
Cracked tiles and grout are almost always a sign of movement passing up from the substrate. SUBSTRAT DecoupleX is an anti-fracture decoupling membrane that breaks that link, isolating your finished tiles from shear and tensile stresses so cracks in the screed or subfloor never reach the surface. Its fleece-fabric-fleece construction bonds firmly yet lets the substrate and tile move independently.
Key features
- Crack-bridging, stress-relieving decoupling matting on a generous 30m roll
- Just 0.7mm installation thickness, keeping floor build-up to a minimum, ideal for level-access showers and thresholds
- Suits ceramic, porcelain, slabs and natural stone on walls and floors
- Works over demanding substrates including heated and unheated cement or anhydrite screeds
- High tear resistance, easy to cut and install; made in Germany
Bed it with a 3 or 4mm notched trowel depending on the substrate, then tile directly on top. Part of the German-made Substrat wetroom system, it is the natural partner to the SUBSTRAT SealCoreX Ready Mixed Tanking Membrane when you need both decoupling and full waterproofing under one tiled floor.
Full System Guarantee. DecoupleX works alongside SUBSTRAT SealCoreX tanking membrane as part of the complete Substrat wetroom build. Installing the matched Substrat components together as one certified system is what qualifies your project for the Substrat Full System Guarantee.
