Description
ARDEX S 7 Plus W is a flexible, cement-based waterproof/tanking coating system for floors and walls, applied prior to fixing ceramic tiles with an appropriate ARDEX tile adhesive. Simply mixed with water and trowel-applied in two coats, it cures to a smooth, permanently flexible membrane that accommodates minor movement in the substrate beneath it, and is suitable for internal and external use — including swimming pools, where it resists water pressure up to 5 Bar.
The system is applied in two coats with a notched trowel: the first coat is flattened to a smooth, even film and left to harden (typically 4 hours at 20°C), then the second coat is applied the same way. Tile fixing can begin once the second coat has dried, in as little as 4 hours in good conditions. Movement joints, corners and pipe penetrations are sealed as part of the system using the matching ARDEX SK tapes and pipe collars.
