Description
Sika 506 Contractors PVA Bond 5kg is a multi-purpose polyvinyl acetate (PVA) bonding agent, sealer, primer and cement-mix admixture engineered by Sika for everyday use across plastering, tiling and general building applications. Drawn from Sika's contractor range, it is the professional-grade workhorse PVA that sits in most plasterers' and tilers' vans — a single product covering several of the prep tasks that would otherwise need different primers and bonding agents.
Used as a surface primer, it seals the dust on flaking plaster, friable masonry and absorbent substrates before plaster, screed or tile adhesive is applied. Used as a bonding agent, it improves the mechanical key between fresh mortar or render and an existing surface — essential when re-skimming over painted plaster, dot-and-dab patches or repair work to render. Added to sand/cement mixes at the gauging stage, it improves the flexibility and adhesion of the final mortar or screed, particularly useful in feather-edge repairs and overlay screeds.
Water-based, low-odour and easy to dilute according to application, the 5kg pack is sized for the busy trade primer and bonding user rather than the one-off DIY job.
