Work out how much Kerakoll Fugabella Color grout your job needs before you order. Enter your tile length, width and thickness, the joint width and the area to be grouted, and the calculator gives you the kilograms required and the number of 3 kg bags to buy.

The estimate uses Kerakoll’s coverage figures for Fugabella Color, which already allow for normal site wastage.

How much grout do I need?

Enter your tile and joint sizes to see how many 3 kg bags of Fugabella Color to order.

Whole millimetres only, joints 1–20 mm. Use the joint width specified for your installation: this calculator estimates coverage and does not determine installation suitability.

Worked example

A bathroom floor of 20 m² laid with 600 × 600 mm porcelain tiles, 10 mm thick, with 3 mm joints:

  • Estimated consumption 0.19 kg/m²
  • Grout required for 20 m² 3.8 kg
  • Bags to order 2 × 3 kg bags
  • Total supplied 6 kg
  • Coverage per 3 kg bag approx. 15.8 m²

Smaller tiles have more joints per square metre, so they use more grout: the same 20 m² in 100 × 100 mm tiles, 8 mm thick with 3 mm joints, needs about 18.3 kg, which is 7 × 3 kg bags.

Fugabella grout coverage FAQs

How much Fugabella Color grout do I need per square metre?

It depends on the tile size, tile thickness and joint width. As a guide, 600 × 600 mm tiles that are 10 mm thick with 3 mm joints use about 0.19 kg/m², while 100 × 100 mm tiles that are 8 mm thick with 3 mm joints use about 0.91 kg/m². Enter your own sizes above for an estimate for your job.

Does the estimate include wastage?

Yes. The estimate is based on Kerakoll’s coverage figures for Fugabella Color, which allow for normal site wastage, so the calculator does not add a further percentage. Actual usage still varies with tile texture, joint depth and application.

What pack size does MILLCOT supply?

We supply Kerakoll Fugabella Color in 3 kg bags. The calculated requirement is rounded up to whole 3 kg bags. Actual coverage can vary with site conditions.

What joint width should I enter?

Enter the joint width specified for your installation, as a whole number from 1 to 20 mm. The calculator estimates coverage only. It does not tell you which joint width is suitable for your tiles or substrate, so check the manufacturer’s guidance for that.

Does it work for rectangular tiles and mosaics?

Yes. Enter the length and width of a single tile, in either order. For mosaics, use the size of one individual piece rather than the sheet.

Can I use this calculator for other grouts?

No. The figures are specific to Kerakoll Fugabella Color. Other grouts, epoxy grouts and paving jointing compounds have different coverage rates, so the result will not be accurate for them.
